Summer fun - what are you doing?

I have been busy working in my gardens and just love being outside until it gets hot and humid then you want see me till early in the morning and late in the evening. My favorite thing I'm doing this summer is line dancing - on Wednesdays - the girls and I go to a local bar with an outside dinning area - and us grannies like we are young again lol. There is a DJ that plays 50-60's music and we dance from 6-10 - only setting out a couple dances - the best part is that we all can still get out of bed the next morning lolol

My husband and I still go dancing once in awhile. We love it--Our whole relationship started with a dance! Our friend Joe says no woman my age should be able to move like that on the dance floor! Only problem is, I pay for it for a couple of days, because of the rheumatoid arthritis in the feet, hips and low back! LOL

I used to like to garden, but physically can't do it anymore. Don't even have enough energy to try and keep up with the weeds in the immediate yard.

I have gone fishing a few times this summer, which I really enjoyed. I hadn't fished in over 25 years--when I visited my family in Omaha last month, we went out a couple of times and I had a blast. Soon as I got home, I got my husband to buy me a rod and reel and fishing license for our anniversary. He also got a rod and reel for our 11 y/o niece. We've gone out twice and really had fun!

Mostly this summer, I've sat in front of the computer. Trying to figure out how to make it spit out dollar bills.............LOL!

I had to smile as I read your comment as I do the same thing - I love the dancing but have to take my aleve the next day to get moving. You are so lucky to have someone to dance with - that is soooooooo awesome.

i have been helping my son with his three children. and playing on my computer when it is working lol. other then that nothing much, just taking life easy!!!

Oh, I miss vegetable gardening. I use to do alot of it and sure is nice to eat fresh vegetables from the garden. In the middle of my flower gardens, I did plant tomatoes this year and am waiting for the first ripe one.
